Designer Stefan Lindfors believes that while the soul of an object drives its design, you still have to take functionality, manufacture and aesthetics into account.
Thus the cups are stackable, and the saucers need no separate rim for the cup, so they can be used as plates. The distinctive handle helps keep the cup steady both in the hand and on its saucer.
